International Community Engagement Program 2025 – Cambodia

Music Sharing’s International Community Engagement Program (ICEP) took place in Cambodia over a period of 11 days in December 2025. The ICEP quartet, including violinists Midori and Haerim Oh, violist Andy Park and cellist Annette Jakovcic, reached over 1000 people in and around Phnom Penh and Siem Reap in partnership with 18 local organizations. The ICEP ensemble had rehearsed throughout the autumn months and reunited in Phnom Penh a few days prior to the ICEP itself. Das International Community Engagement Program (ICEP) von Music Sharing fand im Dezember 2025 über einen Zeitraum von 11 Tagen in Kambodscha statt. Das ICEP-Quartett, bestehend aus den Violinistinnen Midori und Haerim Oh, dem Bratschisten Andy Park und der Cellistin Annette Jakovcic, erreichte in Zusammenarbeit mit 18 lokalen Organisationen über 1000 Menschen in und um Phnom Penh und Siem Reap. Das ICEP-Ensemble hatte während der Herbstmonate geprobt und traf sich einige Tage vor Beginn des ICEP in Phnom Penh wieder. Auf dem Programm standen Auszüge aus Beethovens 5. Sinfonie, Saint-Saëns’ „Karneval der Tiere“ und Haydns „Lark“-Quartett. Midori will make her PENTATONE debut in a recording of Robert Schumann’s Violin Concerto with Festival Strings Lucerne and Daniel Dodds as well as works for violin and piano by Robert and Clara Schumann with pianist Özgür Aydin. Midori takes part in Arvo Pärt 90th birthday celebrations

photo at Carnegie Hall © Kaupo Kikkas Midori joined the Estonian Festival Orchestra and its founder and Artistic Director Paavo Järvi at home and on tour for performances of Arvo Pärt’s Tabula Rasa – Double Concerto for two violins, string orchestra and prepared piano. The work was part of a program in celebration of the Estonian composer’s 90th birthday.
